On March 21, the "Seminar on New Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Smart Anti-epidemic" was successfully held through online video conferences and multi-platform live broadcasts. The seminar was guided by the Beijing Bureau of economy and information technology, and hosted by the Beijing Electron and Electric Appliance Association, University of Science and Technology Beijing, and Wuhan University. The seminar took the theme of intelligent anti-epidemic, and discussed in depth the application and development opportunities of artificial intelligence in the process of epidemic prevention and control. At the meeting, more than ten experts from Beijing Bureau of economy and information technology, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Baidu Smart Government Affairs and other units gave speeches and round-table meetings, ranging from smart hardware, smart epidemic prevention systems, precision prevention and control, and new artificial intelligence technology applications, Talent training and other levels to carry out in-depth communication and sharing, interpret the latest achievements, challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence technology in the fight against the epidemic, and show the development prospects of emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, big data, and intelligent robots. Professor He Wei made an in-depth sharing on "Practice and Thinking of Intelligent Robots in Fighting the Epidemic", and Professor Zhang Xiaotong had an in-depth discussion on "How to make the black swan of the epidemic a new opportunity for AI development".

General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized when inspecting scientific research on the prevention and control of new coronary pneumonia： "The most powerful weapon for humans to compete with diseases is science and technology.
